Clear Resin Deer Heads for La Grange

3 clear resin deer heads were commissined by La Grange a new bar /music venue in deep ellum texas .

I was able to take this project through all the stages of production here at my studio. Sculpting , molding and casting the clear resin. This was quite a task and kept me on my toes for months. They look great at the venue and hope to work on another project like this in the future.

Lighting the Dallas Burlesque Festival ...

By using L.E.D.'s to light the set piece I was able to color match or contrast with each performers costume and provide color changes throughout the night.
The set was simple, a facade of the Texas Theater on one side and a screen on the other.
Center stage was kept open and a traditional follow spot was used to light up the performers.

Set Design for Dallas Burlesque Festival 2010

Here's a sketch of the stage design for this years Dallas Burlesque Festival . Once again it's at the Texas Theater , this year I decided it would be fun to have the performers do their routines on stage in front of a miniature version of the Texas Theater !!

Art Con 5 Stage

I had such a great time lighting up the art con 5 stage ! At times the stage seemed to gleam.

as for lighting...I used architectural led lighting fixtures for the set piece and conventionals for the band.
A strategically placed video projector gave me the extra effect I needed to complete the stage.

Setting up in an abandoned warehouse and producing this kind of show was challenging the entire event is put on by artists and musicians and is pretty D.I.Y.

The stage couldn't have been built with out the help from Erik Glissman and his stage building crew. Under the artistic direction of Courtney Miles my design is taking form. To have my stage concept approved and built is a huge thrill , everyone at art conspiracy is a joy to be around and after visiting the site I am pumped up and inspired to put the final touches on the video and lighting design.
