The Ruby Revue and Edward Ruiz
A nice little set piece I designed for the Ruby Revue Burlesque Show. With this set you can get a variety of different looks and effects by creatively using video and lighting.
A par can for silouettes , LED fixtures for coloring the screen and video to project graffics and moving images that compliment each act. Oh and Confetti at the end !
This set is perfect for the stage in the Cambridge Room at the House of Blues Dallas in which The Ruby Revue performs monthly.

Digital Video Performance Art
Digital Video by Edward Ruiz , Dance by Mina Davidovich .
These photos were taken during one of our re-hearsals .
The idea was to have a video piece that was split into 2 projections . One projection on the wall like a digital painting , while the other projection shone on the gallery floor like a spot light for which the dancer to perform in.
The slower moving geometry on the wall contrasted with the small frantic pixels that seemed to engulph mina davidovich as she performes.
The entire piece was choregraphed to an original music composition. Using computer software real time video layers moved with the vibrations from the music creating etherial connections between what was seen and what was heard.
