Texas Theater: Dallas Burlesque Festival

The Texas Theater in Oak Cliff on Jefferson Blvd is famous for being the theater that Lee Harvey Oswald was captured in after he assassinated President John F. Kennedy in 1963.
I was thrilled when asked to provide lighting for a show in the still being renovated venue.
It was quite a challenge setting up for the show. Upstage center I built a screen for shadows and silhouettes, I used 3 led colorblast 12's to rear project onto the screen. Downstage I used par 64's to front and side light the performers . Using pink, red , violet and blue colored gels along with the led background i was able to create various moods for the routines.
I had so much fun running lights for the Festival, It was often times magical .
Can't wait to do it again next year. Thank You so much Elisa Davis of the Ruby Revue for inviting me.
Pegasus news posted some video of the show. check it out.
