Fair Park Texas Star Fireworks

I had a great time shooting the fireworks at fair park. I found myself a nice perch and pointed my lens at the texas star. I held the shutter open for long exposures so i could capture the fireworks as well as the Ferris wheel.
Thanks Photopol.us for spotlighting my photo!

Cool, Eddie! I’m gonna use that first pic for my computer background, if that’s a’ight. How come your guyse’s fireworks are so much bigger than ours?! I mean, like the actual span of the explosion is gigantic, especially compared to that ferris wheel that you know is huge. Anyway, hope ya had a great 4th! What else you been up in the Big D?

Excuse all the comment changes :P

Glad you liked the firework shots! and yes it's ok to use the photo as a background! I got lucky and found a good spot to shoot those photos used my bike as a ladder and climber up onto a 2nd floor ledge. This year they had a nice variety of colors and flourishes , and they also had a handfull of big ones!!

i've been working on some new paintings for my next toy show in sept. i want to have a variety of sculptures and wall art.

it's too hot down here to do much outside so... painting in the studio is the thing for me!

Hey silly, another good use for a bike! Hey, do you ever do silkscreen or anything? You could have like a personal poster for each toy you sell. Even a stylized portrait of the guy in his getup and everything. That could be cool. If ya really wanted to get into it, you could have like the birthday and stuff..... but that might be kinda cabbage patch!

funny you say that , but yes i want to either have someone screen print or do it myself.

at one of the hobby shops they sell this small mini screen print kit, it's ;like a screen print machine but small kinda postcard size , and i was conidering trying that out. yes, so you get a print of each character when you buy the toy, your on it corey , some of the other toy guys do that. hey, check out the paintings i did of cymon and reggie. on my udated post/blog.

I actually just recently bought one of those little kits you’re talking about, I think. But mines like 10’x15’ or something. I also got a bigger poster sized screen and board to go along with it. So it’s basically just the screen and some swivel hinges to attach it to the board, right? Sorry, I can’t really review its efficiency or anything because I’ve yet to use it. I didn’t have a place to expose, but I’m currently looking into making my own exposure unit in my basement. But, hey, you could probably just use that ol’ Texas sun!
